Commonwealth Brewing Company

2444 Pleasure House Rd

Virginia Beach, VA 23455

Commonwealth Brewing Company opened Sept 6, 2015 as a result of next level commitment, mild insanity, family, friends and a profound sense of purpose. Since then, they’ve grown into a tight knit band of like minded people who believe beer should be adventurous, diverse, extremely drinkable, and defy boundaries. They honor farmhouse traditions, huge hop American styles, and the complex depths of wild fermentations.

Located inside a fully renovated, former fire and rescue station built in 1962 and nestled in a funky beach cottage community (flip flops mandatory) on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, the facility is complete with a double garage bay tasting room, private event spaces, an outdoor beer garden, and a conditioned barrel cellar housing hundreds of barrels of mixed fermentations for long term aging.

Twisted Knot Brewing Company

11838 Canon Blvd

Suite 400

Newport News, VA 23606

Our space is a place to hang out.  To have great conversations. To play some games.  To enjoy food together and of course good small batch beer.  We usually have food trucks, most of them serve fantastic food.  You can always order in food or bring your own. Your dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved and your kids are too.  We have some adult games and some kids toys available, you can always bring your own as well.

We typically have 10 beers on tap.   6 regular & 4 rotating beers. Our beer is produced with a 2 barrel brewhouse.  What this means is we are producing VERY small batches compared to other breweries in our area and so your beer is always fresh and our rotational selections are being changed frequently.  When we put out cans, we are hand canning these. This is a labor of love for us. We hope you enjoy it.

That's why at Oozlefinch you'll constantly see new offerings. Classic styles reimagined with new ingredients and techniques. Experimental and hybrid styles designed to challenge and please your palate. Beer is made for sharing, and we're in constant pursuit of new flavors to share with you. We want you to fall in love with a beer, then when it runs out, fall in love with the next one. That's the relationship we have with brewing, and it's the experience we want you to have with our beer. The kind of experience that brings people together, time and time again.

We hope you'll take a look around, get to know us better, and visit us soon at Historic Fort Monroe. Cheers!
